This person will eventually assume the position of Tooling Design Manager. We are located in a progressive rural community with great schools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in forging engineering principles and be proficient in designing forging tools and components. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for our customers. Responsibilities
- Design and develop forging tools and components for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize software tools such as ProE and Cimitron to create detailed drawings and models.
- Collaborate with project teams to define design requirements and specifications.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to validate designs.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of prototypes.
- Ensure all designs adhere to customer requirements, specifications and best forging practices.
- Document design processes, changes, and results clearly for future reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in design software including ProE and Cimitron.
- Strong understanding of forging design principles and metallurgy.
- Experience in the forging industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Plex Manufacturing software is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-engineering stakeholders.
- Employee Management skills necessary.
