Technology and Operations Management Department invites applications for two tenure track faculty positions. The new faculty members will teach in-person undergraduate and graduate classes primarily in Supply Chain/Operations Management and E-Business related subjects such as operations management introduction, business statistics, technology management, production management, transportation and logistics, project management, purchasing management, inventory and warehouse management, quality management, service operations management, ERP, CRM and others. Integration of modern supply chain technologies such as data management and business analytics subjects into the curriculum is a high priority strategic goal of the department and the candidates are expected to provide significant support and contribution toward this goal. The successful candidates must have a strong interest in research and scholarly activities and are expected to provide university/college/department services. Applicants whose work incorporates a global perspective and a commitment to diversity in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or relevant business education background.
Relevant industry working experience.
Academic/Industry background in Business Analytics and/or Data Management and/or Information Systems.
Prior teaching experience at the university level.
A Ph.D./DBA with concentration in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or closely related fields such as Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Decision Science etc. from accredited institutions. (Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.)
Demonstrated commitment to publishing in peer-reviewed journals aligned with AACSB accreditation standards.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
A commitment and a record of contributions to student success through applicant’s teaching, scholarship, or service. This will be described in the Student Success Statement, which must address at least two of the inclusive excellence criteria listed above.
