Starting salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.   Responsible for managing  the Traffic, Signs and Markings operations and maintenance program and staff, and providing traffic engineering services including traffic signal timing, traffic modeling and traffic operations for the Public Works Department. Develops and implements traffic signal timing and coordination plans. Conducts traffic studies and performs traffic signal warrant and level-of-service (LOS) calculations. Assists in developing proposals and funding applications to enhance traffic safety and efficiency. Provides advanced technical assistance regarding traffic signal and street lighting design.  JOB KNOWLEDGE
