Crop Plant Physiologist, Assistant Professor
The Department of Crop and Soil Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Crop Plant Physiology. This faculty position will be a 12-month, tenure-track position. The successful candidate will lead a creative, productive, externally-funded research program bridging discovery of fundamental physiological mechanisms in crop plants with improving crop performance in the field. Research including systems-level, mathematical, and/or modeling approaches to understand complex, whole-plant, physiology is welcomed but not required. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: mechanistic responses and adaptation to water or nutrient deficiency, thermal stress, and elevated CO2; source-sink relations
