We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time Construction Services Laboratory Manager based in our Louisville (Knoxville), Tennessee office.
Currently, the Knoxville laboratory has seven staff members and generates approximately one million dollars annually in revenue. As a Laboratory Manager, this individual manages the daily operation and staff in geotechnical and construction materials testing laboratories (concrete, aggregate, soil, rock, masonry and asphalt) and is responsible for the coordination and completion of proposals, projects, reporting, and invoicing for laboratory testing projects. The successful candidate must have leadership skills and the ability to work in developing a collaborative team environment; excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated positive relationships with clients, contractors, and coworkers; and a strong work ethic.
As a member of our leadership group, this individual is responsible for staff supervision; training, mentoring, and coaching of employees; Business Unit and Area objectives in safety, accounting, human resources, and risk management; and staffing projects with appropriately trained and certified personnel maximizing staff utilization and project profitability. Additional responsibilities include management of an AASHTO Quality System; maintaining AASHTO, CCRL and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers accreditation; active participation in our internal QA/QC program and state radiological license for testing radioactively contaminated materials.
