Our researches focus on biological nitrogen fixation and legume biology in The State Key Laboratory of Crop Stress Adaptation and Improvement, Henan University. We use soybean, peanut, Lotus japonicus, Arabidopsis and rhizobia as the main research systems, and approaches of multi-omics, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, bioinformatics, and structural biology, to study the mechanisms of legume-rhizobium interactions and symbiotic nitrogen fixation, their response to environmental stimuli and various hormones (brassinosteroids, strigolactones, abscisic acid, and auxin), and their applications in green agriculture. Meanwhile, we also aim to precisely improve soybean varieties by molecular design.
We have established stable research platforms, including: equipments for biochemical, molecular, and developmental biology, a stable and efficient soybean transformation platform, thousands of cultivated and wild soybean collections, highly-configured bioinformatics platform, well-controlled plant growth chambers with a total area of hundreds of square meters, and agricultural field for research trials.
We are looking for post-doc candidates working at the following research areas?
 Molecular mechanisms of legume-rhizobium interaction, nodule development, and nitrogen fixation.
 Genetic, molecular, developmental, and evolutionary mechanisms of major agronomic traits in soybean.
 Genome editing and molecular breeding in soybean.
The position will a duration of three years, with the possibility for extension. The salary is about $50,000 per annum. You have a high chance to become a associate/full professor after finishing the postdoc training.
