The Eugene Water & Electric Board seeks an experienced accounting professional to fill the role of Accounting Analyst II. We will also be considering candidates who qualify as Senior Accounting Analysts as well!
This position will record and monitor accounting transactions, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and analysis for the electric and water utilities. Qualified candidates will have a combination of experience performing the following:
Debt Service Accounting
Federal & State Grants
Benefit payment processing & reconciliation
Financial reporting (including monthly and year-end closing)
The Accounting Analyst II / Senior Accounting Analyst role offers a broad range of responsibilities with room for growth. Minimum Experience: Four years experience in the assigned area of responsibility. (the Senior Accounting Analyst position requires six year of relevant experience.)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Masters Degree or CPA preferred. Experience with governmental accounting.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying.
Valid driver license: Yes or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of being hired.
Professional license or registration: CPA preferred.
