The Department of Civil & Architectural Engineering at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidates are sought with expertise in Construction Management. The duties of the position are:
To teach undergraduate Construction management courses
To serve as the Undergraduate Coordinator and Accreditation Coordinator for the new B.S. degree in Construction Management
To perform scholarly research
To perform outreach to program stakeholders
To perform service to the department, college, and the University
Assistant professors shall normally hold the terminal qualification in their discipline (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., MFA, etc.), shall have established a reputation in scholarship, teaching, artistic creation, or other productive activity in the field in which they are to serve.
Candidates must hold the terminal qualification in their discipline (e.g., Ph.D., M.Arch., MBA, etc.).
Candidates must have the ability to teach undergraduate construction management courses, to perform academic administrative duties, and to conduct independent scholarly research.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Ph.D. in Construction Management.
Academic leadership experience.
Teaching experience in an undergraduate construction management program.
Experience with ACCE accreditation processes.
Construction industry experience.?

About University of Wyoming-Civil & Architectural Engineering
The Department has 22 tenured or tenure-track faculty and offers ABET-accredited baccalaureate programs in both Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering to approximately 300 undergraduate students. The department also offers graduate programs at the Masters and PhD levels to roughly 60 graduate students.
