The BAE Systems site in York Pennsylvania supporting Combat Vehicles is seeking a Quality Manager: Bargaining Unit, Monday through Friday. In this role, the Quality Manager oversees all production inspection activities related to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Schedule. Ensures the production area delivers a quality product to the customer utilizing good business practices. Responsibilities include process improvement and development, planning, and execution of production inspection schedules and content, personnel management, and administrative operations. This position is also a liaison between other departments, other manufacturing teams, and the customer.
Experience working with bargaining units is critical;
A seasoned leader and/or supervisor able to guide, motivate, train, mentor, and nurture a harmonious working team;
Ability to coordinate activities of up to thirty-five (35) bargaining unit Quality Auditor employees (QPAA&T and QPAF&M);
Experience in daily planning, coordination, follow-up, reporting, and evaluation activities required to inspect the parts manufactured in assigned area/cell all in effort to oversee and ensure quality work;
Computer literacy particularly in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel);
Technical problem-solving ability using logic and reasoning;
Experience in execution of a project, following through, and delivering on results;
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, to effectively be able to deliver information to all levels of staff.
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience working in a DoD manufacturing environment helpful.
