The City of Bothell Washington is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for a Capital Projects Engineer. We are seeking a motivated candidate who combines strong technical skills with proven abilities in design, construction and project management with an inclination towards unique and sustainable projects. The successful candidate will have experience in a variety of site development and civil infrastructure projects to support stormwater systems, sewer systems and water system projects. The City of Bothell is in an exciting period of growth with recent downtown redevelopment and current redevelopment of Canyon Park Region Growth Center.
Applicants are required to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; AND two (2) years of civil engineering experience; or an equivalent combination or education, training, and experience.
This position serves as a project manager during the design, ROW acquisition, permitting, and construction phases. The City is a full-service city that designs and constructs transportation, water, sewer, and storm projects. As such, the preference is to hire a candidate that wants to work with all types of civil engineering projects in all of its phases. Further, the preference is to hire a candidate that has both design and construction experience.

Workspace is an open concept floor plan with an assigned personal cubicle.
Ability to work regular core business hours is required as that is when the public, consultants, and contractors are working on projects; flexible schedules (9/80's or 4/10's) are typically not an option.
