Are you looking for the next step on your career path? If so, Come Lead with Us by joining Washington County within the Department of Land Use & Transportation as a Traffic Engineer! The Engineering, Traffic and Survey (ETS) division within Land Use & Transportation (LUT) is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer with significant knowledge in the oversight, operation, and maintenance of Traffic Signal Systems, and Intelligent Transportation (ITS) infrastructure. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for supervising the preparation of traffic signal timing plans; traffic engineering investigations and reports; and related projects in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) standards and practices. Additional duties include supervising, planning and writing work orders for fabricating, installing, removing, or modifying traffic control devices. The individual in this role will also be responsible for representing the department at meetings related to traffic or transportation engineering and conferring with the public on traffic control issues and/or regulations.
