NRMCA has announced an opening for a ready mixed concrete local paving technical and promotion representative. This position is responsible for the implementation of strategies that increase the use of the various forms of ready mixed concrete pavement in parking areas, local streets and roads and other applications. This primary job function will be accomplished by working with NRMCA partners and members to help deliver successful local concrete paving projects. The successful applicant will work from their home in their current location and will be required to travel frequently (approximately 33% of the time).

Ability to multi-task on several project fronts
Ability to follow tasks through to completion over an extended period
Team player with high level of effective communication skills to construction and technical audiences
Bachelors degree, engineering preferred
Minimum ten years construction industry experience with marketing focus preferred
Knowledge of the design, production, and placement of conventional concrete, pervious concrete, roller compacted concrete, and concrete overlays for parking areas and streets is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with high-level clients/ partners including architects, developers, engineers, and public works officials
Understanding of designer/specifier point of view – functionality, aesthetics, costs, etc.
Ability to comprehend project drawings and specifications
Understanding strategic planning and persistence in reaching goals
Strong communication and presentation skills using electronic media
Knowledge regarding the use of social media to enhance marketing and messaging
Experience programming with HTML, CSS, and VB desired
Regional, State & Local Technical and Promotion Assistance: Work with local, regional, and state technical and promotion partners to help deliver concrete parking and street paving projects by supporting promotion, design, and construction activities. Provide training and presentations on concrete applications and promotion. Support and coordinate technical and promotional efforts of NRMCA members.
Relationship Development: Develop and expand relationships with national, regional and local entities and public works agencies that design, specify, and construct pavements in order to increase their use of ready mixed concrete paving products. Develop and present technical and promotional programs regarding alternative or new concrete technologies to these organizations. Assist owners, engineers and other specifiers within these organizations in pavement design and the drafting and adoption of specifications that support the increased use of concrete and the long-term objectives of NRMCA’s members.
