Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban, regional or transportation planning, or a closely related field; plus two years of experience related to transportation planning.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
Master's degree in planning or related field. Strong background in land use and transportation planning, and transportation demand management. Ideal candidate will have experience in negotiation, transportation demand management implementation and/or policy creation, working with public and officials on transportation issues, database creation and maintenance, evaluating transportation impacts of land use proposals, GIS and traffic impact analysis, strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects and assignments and establish priorities, and ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Work is generally sedentary. However, employee may be required to do some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items up to 25 pounds in weight. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
