Developing relationships with key aerospace specification representatives in North America. Define product, support and testing requirements for Chem-Trend to gain a strong aerospace specification approval position and ultimately, sales volume into the North American aerospace and advanced composites industry;
Developing strong, collaborative relationships with industry co-suppliers and national accounts in an effort to ensure the positive promotion and specification of Chem-Trend products for use with gel-coats, processes, resins, adhesives and manufactured composite products;
Create and oversee world-class distributor training events in Howell, Michigan or in the field. Ensure that the training facilitates distributors’ acute understanding of product lines and the critical elements required to sell them in the composites marketplace;
Establishing strong and trusting relationships with the Technical Service and Sales Managers of our varied North American distributors;
Working closely with the Chem-Trend Composites laboratory to define product development requirements, driven specifically by market need and market trends;
Aiding in new product development trials, launches and promotional activities in North America;
Trade show management, industry association involvement and other promotional activities as needed
Requirements shall consist of:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Composites Engineering;
Certified Composite Technician through American Composite Manufacturers’ Association;
Minimum 2-3 years direct and distribution contact and technical service experience, preferably in the aerospace and advanced composites industry;
Significant professional experience with composite manufacturing and production processes, materials, troubleshooting;
Ability to define, articulate and sell customer value at a premium price;
Ability to create and professionally present the Chem-Trend product line to groups large and small;
Significant aerospace and advanced composites industry contacts, including distributors, co-suppliers and composite manufacturers;
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills;
Overnight travel in North America more than 50%.
Telecommuting is allowed. Employer will assist with relocation costs.
