Must have a valid & current driver's license and a good driving record.
Must have or be able to obtain LA state fire alarm technician license.
Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
Able to work flexible hours including weekends when required.
Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule & respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
Manufacturer certification on any major system.
Strong working knowledge of personal computers and alarm panel programming.
Conducting service calls which includes systems testing and inspections to NFPA 72 & 101.
Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of our customer’s fire alarm systems; identifying code issues and non-conformance issues.
Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
Perform Annual inspection of fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 & 101.
Able to interact and correspond to customers in person and/or writing in a professional manner.
Periodically attend seminars or similar education/training sessions to stay abreast of latest technology, codes, and standards changes.
Must be drug free – We are a drug free workplace. - Must have a clean background in order to work at secure customer sites.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, GED, technical or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fire Alarm Systems NICET II required, NICET III preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered assuming individual pursues NICET education/certification.
