As a Structural – Coastal Engineer / Marina Designer, you will design and analyze floating and fixed marine structures and evaluate project sites to determine environmental loads. You will also interact directly with the production / manufacturing departments to develop practical, high quality products for the marina industry. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and production divisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to prepare calculations, and construction and fabrication drawings in accordance with company standards.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers to resolve design issues, develop fabrication methods, and issue construction documents.
Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications to determine project requirements and to establish where potential conflicts may adversely impact the project.
Evaluate project sites for feasibility
Provide structural and coastal design and analysis
Develop timelines and work within project deadlines
Prepare and submit written reports as needed
Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging structural engineering technologies and practices
Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Coastal Engineering with structural concentration. Master’s Degree and professional licensure preferred. Non-licensed candidates are expected to become licensed as appropriate. Experience in structural detailing, conventional and prestressed concrete, timber design, and structural steel design.
