Reports to the Director of Rail Operations. Experienced professional who provides support to the Operations and Communications division in relation to Commuter Rail, Customer Service and Rail Operations. Provides support as well in agency-wide initiatives, including activities such as internal policy review and development, FRA reviews, FTA Triennial Reviews and other audits.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with federal, state and local transportation laws, regulations, guidelines and practices
Excellent writing skills, to include ease with business grammar; strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
General knowledge of Board meeting procedures and government jurisdictions.
Knowledge of customer service principles and ability to respond courteously to customer needs.
Familiarity with contracts, proposals and bids.
Must be able to manage several projects at one time and deal effectively with people in a service oriented environment
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and professional boundaries
Knowledge of project management techniques, including budgeting, management of projects, scheduling, scoping and quality control
Ability to analyze data and develop corrective action plans both in the process of gathering the data and in the operation described by the data.
Ability to establish and implement detailed business processes and work procedures, and document in a comprehensive set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ability to use computers and related software applications, including Microsoft Office programs, website platforms, and social media applications.
Ability to organize and perform work independently, to include the ability to respond to a variety of conditions without direct supervision, know limits and meet deadlines.
