Ballinger is an integrated architecture and engineering practice seeking talented and forward-thinking recent (2-4 years) or upcoming AE/Structural Option graduates to join our interdisciplinary project teams, and to contribute to the design of the structural systems for our research, healthcare, institutional and corporate clients. As a Structural Design Engineer with Ballinger, you will enjoy outstanding opportunities for innovation, creative problem solving, and direct collaboration with project team members. As a Structural Design Engineer with Ballinger, your primary responsibilities will include: •Engineering support on project teams under direction of project engineering leaders •Active role in drawing production •Direct engineering on projects: Develop and execute design and drafting from schematics through construction administration with guidance from engineering leadership •Interface and coordinate with all other disciplines: engineering and architectural •Have or develop expertise in all of Ballinger’s project types: research buildings, science and academic, hospitals, and corporate offices – technically complex building projects, including renovations and new construction •Minimal travel, or as project requirements dictate
The candidate must possess superb production, analytical and communication skills, and be able to perform well in a design environment. Bachelors of Architectural Engineering/Structural Option or Masters of Architectural Engineering/Structural Option, proficiency in Revit 2016/2017, and proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 preferred. Working towards a PE license strongly recommended.
