Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Engineering for Capital Projects and Utilities or as directed, the Civil Engineer, Stormwater will coordinate stormwater projects and review subdivision, land development, and capital improvement project plans to ensure prepared plans comply with codes, ordinances, professional standards, best practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in civil, sanitary or environmental engineering or related field.
Experience in stormwater design and stormwater management.
Valid Virginia Driver’s license with the ability to meet/maintain Town insurability requirements and a minimum of three (3) years driving experience
Ability to obtain Stormwater Management Combined Administrator certification (upon completion of certification process by Commonwealth of Virginia)
Must possess and maintain certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or obtain within twelve (12) months of hire date.
Additional Salary Information: This position is posted minimum to market pay. Salary is negotiable DOQ/E.
