Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated department manager to lead the eastern region architectural department. This position is located in our Lexington or Charleston, South Carolina office. Responsibilities include supervising, managing, and mentoring department staff; project management for architecture projects; and participating in business development opportunities. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have one of the following: a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field plus at least 5 years of relevant experience; if no degree, must have at least 10 years (15+ preferred) of combined supervisory, technical, or management experience within the consulting business.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: experience managing projects (budget, project planning, resource management, etc.); experience negotiating and administering contracts; experience developing new business opportunities; experience supervising and developing staff; professional licensure; architect.
