Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing large multidisciplinary projects. Candidates should have a successful track record executing and managing projects in one or more areas including mining, site decommissioning, infrastructure, radiological and/or contaminated site remediation. Experience working with contractors and in design-build / P3 ventures is desirable. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work on projects with variable complexity with the desire and ability to build a strong support team. At times, the role will involve managing multiple medium size projects, and at others focus on one or more larger projects, dependent upon the portfolio of available projects. Mobility to remote sites on a short term basis is a requirement. Candidates willing to relocate on a longer term campaign basis will receive additional consideration. We will consider candidates looking for full-time work, as well as those seeking contract assignments.
Manage projects teams comprised of various engineering and environmental discipline specialists, and associated subcontractors
Interface directly with clients on projects
Manage all project elements including budget, schedule, quality, safety, document control, change order management while striving to achieve both project profitability and client satisfaction
Network with new and existing clients to effectively position for and develop work opportunities
Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates
Work with and mentor junior and mid-level staff on environmental projects
Work effectively with team members as well as independently
Skills / Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. graduate, with directly related degree in engineering, geology, or environmental sciences
PMP designation is desirable
Experience across a range of commercial, industrial, and federal sectors
10 -12+ years relevant experience with increasing levels of project complexity and management responsibility
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in provincial and Federal regulations and processes
Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. or P.Geo
Strong written and oral communication skills, strong desire to provide excellent, innovative, practical customer services and a commitment to technical excellence
Must be well organized, have the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, deliver on time and on budget
Demonstrated supervisory experience for field contract services and hands-on training of junior personnel
Experience in engineering design a plus
