A hands-on and forward thinking engineer well versed in delivering CIP and development projects is required for this position. The new City Engineer should be collaborative and capable of working as a member of the Public Works Department executive team. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing the managerial skills of staff, focusing on such issues as effectiveness, responsiveness, budgeting, time management, and managerial values. A typical candidate will have broad engineering experience and knowledge of the development code. Engineers with a managerial background and experience with succession planning will be highly valued.
